Camilla qualifies as colour specialst

A young Shrewsbury hairdresser has been awarded a prestigious accolade.

Camilla Price (24), who works for the Toni & Guy salon in Castle Street, has qualified as a specialist in colour techniques after completing a four-month intensive training course.

She is only of only a handful of hairdressers in the county to have undertaken the Manchester course, run by L’Oreal, and will travel to London on April 1 to receive her award.

“The graduation ceremony will be held at the country’s leading arts college, Central St Martin’s, and is set to be a glamorous evening - I am really looking forward to it,” said Camilla, who lives in Condover.

Her boss at Toni & Guy, Gavin Pulham said that the training course was very intense and included theory and practical tests.

“The students are required to showcase a range of current
trends and the knowledge needed is outstanding as this award represents the pinnacle of technical knowledge in this sector.

“Camilla has also shown great commitment as she has had to travel backwards and forwards to Manchester sometimes up to three times a week.

“She is a talented young hairdresser and we are delighted that her hard work has been rewarded – everyone at the salon is proud of her,” he said.
