Business Awards Call for Judges

Shropshire Chamber of Commerce will once again host its renowned annual business awards later this year and for the first time is opening up the process and extending an invitation to local businesspeople to register their interest in securing a seat on the judging panel.

The Shropshire Business Awards are taking place on Friday 11th July 2014 at The International Centre Telford as part of a dedicated ceremony to celebrate business growth and successes across the county over the 2013 to 2014 period.

Richard Sheehan, Chief Executive of Shropshire Chamber of Commerce, explained: “Last year’s event was a resounding success and over 750 people from companies of all shapes and sizes came together to celebrate business success in our county. This year’s official website has been launched and a ‘save the date’ invitation has been issued across Shropshire, but we’re eager to find businesspeople interested in helping to judge finalist companies and help us choose who deserves the prestigious accolade of a business award.”

The annual event promotes the county as the place for doing business and has become an integral part of the regional business calendar. Shropshire Chamber of Commerce is also encouraging companies to consider sponsoring a dedicated category or getting involved in other ways.

“The last year has been our best for the Chamber in over six years, so we’re sure that the 2014 awards will be the biggest yet. We’re strongly urging members of the business community to register their interest in becoming a judge by contacting Chris Jones with a brief paragraph about why they should be considered. We’re very much looking forward to another great event and wish everyone involved the best of luck,” Richard concluded.

The event categories include Company of the Year, Customer Service, International Trade, Best Small Business and many more.
