Brewing up a deal at Llanymynech

Pub landlords from Mid Wales and Shropshire will be able to enjoy some of the area’s best greens and fairways following a partnership formed between a national brewing company and one of the region’s leading golf clubs.

Molson Coors Brewing Company has teamed up with Llanymynech Golf Club, near Oswestry, to provide golfing sessions for licensees of its 100 dedicated pubs situated throughout the area.

Brewery account manager Jonathan Higgins, himself a keen golfer, who comes from Berriew, near Welshpool, said: “This is a fantastic club in a spectacular location and we are delighted to be able to have devised a mutually beneficial deal with the club which will enable us to offer specific golfing packages to our publicans.”

Golf club president Ken Evans added: “We are fortunate to have a well respected club with great facilities and this working partnership is just one part of the on-going plans to help us develop the club, while supporting other businesses in the process and promoting the wonderful game of golf itself at the same time.”
