Mindfulness is increasingly proving to be a highly effective and powerful tool for increasing general wellbeing, enhancing our ability to relax, developing contentment, reducing stress, dealing with chronic pain and illness, and coping with difficult mental states. This intensive 8--week course is based on the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn.

Who is it for:   Everyone
Requirements:  Willingness to undertake 60 minutes of home practice six days a week
Where:  Quaker Meeting House, Shrewsbury
Start date:  29th October 2014; 6:30pm-9:00pm
Duration:  8-weekly classes, around 2.5 hours each, + 1 optional full day
Fee: Sliding scale: £95-£160

Orientation session – 4th October 2014, 7pm-8:30pm, Quaker Meeting House, Shrewsbury – FREE - The Orientation session is a chance to learn more about mindfulness and the 8-week course, is open to everyone and a requirement for those intending to attend the 8-week course.

This introductory-level workshop will give you a basic understanding of mindfulness itself and provide you with the tools to start practicing, integrating and reaping the benefits of mindfulness practice in both personal and professional settings.
