Award Winning Chef and Food Writer All Set To Give Talks and Demonstrations at This Year’s Shrewsbury Flower Show.

Shrewsbury Flower Show has just announced that renowned Food Writer and Chef, Sean Bird will be appearing at the show on the 9th and 10th of August 2013.

The ever popular food writer and columnist, originally from Shropshire has had an impressive culinary career before gaining recognition for his original self penned seasonal recipes that now appear in many local, national and international periodicals and publications.

This will be his first appearance at the world’s longest running flower show where he will be demonstrating some of his popular recipes live in the Marches Food Hall. In addition to this, Sean will also sharing his passion and knowledge of using edible flowers and the increasingly popular micro herbs in the Lecture Marquee throughout both days. The talks will be set around his medal award winning dishes that were showcased as part of the British Culinary Federations Expo in Birmingham for their contemporary and humorous take on regional and national favourite recipes.

Sean said “I am delighted to be invited to take part in this year’s 126th Shrewsbury Flower Show.
I am really looking forward to sharing my ideas and passion for showcasing regional recipes and flavours with the visitors throughout the weekend.’’

Sean is no stranger to demonstrating his recipes at prestigious events.  He regularly appears as one of the well known faces at The Cake and Bake Show in Earls Court and Manchester; and at Cake International in London and Birmingham, appearing alongside Mary Berry, Mitch Turner and John Torode.

Sean is well known for his charity work, in particular for his work alongside celebrity chefs Lorraine Pascal and Simon Rimmer as one of Great Ormond Street’s Celebrity Ambassadors for their high profile Bake It Better Campaign.

After his appearance at the Show he will be heading up National Baking week for the charity at events all around the country.
