Aarons & Partners paddles up for local cancer charity

Local law firm Aaron & Partners LLP is taking to the waters at the biannual Macmillan World Championship Coracle Relay Race on 14 June to raise money for Shropshire Macmillan Cancer Support.

Starting at the Pengwern Boat Club, Shrewsbury, the team which includes Head of Corporate Stuart Scott-Goldstone, Commercial Property Partner Trish Randles and Employment Solicitor Fiona Goodman will each paddle as fast as they can in the lightweight boats, competing against 47 other teams to cross the river Severn back and forth four times.

Team captain Stuart Scott-Goldstone said: “We are full of fighting spirit, and even if we don’t end up the winners, we shall certainly have fun whilst raising awareness for this incredibly worthy cause.”

Real estate partner Trish Randles said: “I’m not sure how good I’ll actually be, but if we help the event to raise just a fraction of the £20,000 raised in 2012 it will be a job well done.”

The race promises to provide fantastic spectator sport and great fun for all the family. The practice runs start at 12pm and the race itself kicks off at 2pm, with plenty of other entertainment suitable for all ages.
