A spectacular exhibition of a wide range of beautiful birds of prey will take place in Oswestry this weekend.

10.30am on Saturday 16th August

AC Falconry, whose future was recently secured by the British Ironwork Centre, Aston, by the offer of a permanent home within their rural grounds, will be staging the fabulous display at the Centre on Saturday morning.

Entry is free and all are welcome to the display which is guaranteed to appeal to people of all ages.

This event marks the start of a long and theatrical future for a wide variety of falconry experiences and demonstrations at the Centre.

The centre will introduce each bird to the public this Saturday and will provide the opportunity not only to learn about each of the species but to see many of them in flight .

The birds on display this weekend will include Eagle owls, bald-headed eagles, peregrine falcons and goss hawks.

The Centre plans to provide both educational and conservation programmes in addition to a range of exciting opportunities for these incredible birds of prey to enthral the public.

Clive Knowles, Chairman of the Centre, said “We are delighted to be able to offer the display to local people – this represents the first event featuring AC Falconry’s wonderful birds of prey, and an exciting programme of events, including further displays and bird of prey experiences, will be announced shortly.”

“The display will take place at 10.30am on Saturday 16th August – we hope that as many people as possible will come along and enjoy this free event!”
