The duo has a new single out this week ‘Don't look back’, which has featured heavily Radio 1's top play list. They will be one of the main dance tent headliners on the Saturday of the three-day music, comedy and arts family festival on September 13 at the Shropshire Showground.

Matrix & Futurebound have had illustrious careers in their own right. Matrix first broke through with his slick techno infused classic, ‘Sleepwalk’ and garnered chart acclaim under his house pseudonym ‘Goldtrix’ with the hit, ‘It’s Love Trippin’. Meanwhile, Futurebound had early success on various labels before they combined their powers to unleash the seminal ‘Universal Truth’ album in 2007, which introduced a whole new era in Drum and Bass. Tracks such as ‘American Beauty’, ‘Coast To Coast’, and ‘Family’ were ahead of the curve.

Outside Drum and Bass, the likes of Swedish House Mafia, Justin
Timberlake, Moby, Snap, Afrojack, and Skepta all came knocking at the door for remixes.

The duo’s ‘Smash and Grab Mix’, smashed clubs and dominated the airwaves worldwide while clocking in over three million combined views on
YouTube as well as making the BBC 1Xtra “A” and Radio 1 “B” playlist and ‘All I Know’ became the duos first Top 40 hit reaching number 6 in the Dance chart.

Following it’s success, Matrix & Futurebound returned with ‘Magnetic Eyes’ which was selected to BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra playlists, it also became the 9th most-played track on Radio 1 in the first quarter of 2013, joining the likes of Disclosure, Avicci, Rihanna, Calvin Harris and more amongst the
radio elite.

The end of 2013 saw them once again rise to new heights with the release of their biggest hit to date, ‘Control’. With huge support on BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, Capital FM, Ministry of Sound Radio and XFM, ‘Control’ cracked the UK Top 10 and charted at number 7 in the singles chart and number 2 in the Dance charts.

Dene Edwards, Festival Director, said: “Matrix & Futureboud have reached such a level of success that few Drum and Bass DJs in the world have achieved. We are very excited to have them and we know they will perform a fantastic set in our dance tent, which is shaping up to have a truly epic list of performers.

“A raft of new acts, including winners of the Battle of the Bands and DJ competition to be held at St Nicholas Bar in Shrewsbury on August 15 will be announced soon.

We still have many dance acts still to be announced so keep checking out our website."
