The Researcher of the Year Awards, in association with the Federation of Small Businesses are in their eighth year and seek to recognise outstanding achievements of MP support staff.  Michael had been nominated for the ‘Federation of Small Business Special Award’ in recognition of his work in helping Daniel with the production of a report on scrutinising the efficiency and effectiveness of UK Trade and Industry.

Daniel Kawczynski said:

‘Michael has supported me throughout five of my nine years in Westminster; he is a true stalwart and I am extremely proud that his hard work and commitment has been recognised in this way.

Michael started his political career as a volunteer in my local Conservative Association office and is now instrumental in helping achieve our Government’s target of increasing UK exporting to £1 trillion per year by 2020.  He works tirelessly with local businesses within my constituency of Shrewsbury and Atcham in helping them gain the right contacts within UK Trade and Industry to enable their businesses to expand and grow.

He has forged durable relationships with both his parliamentary colleagues and those in key organisations such as the local authority and business networking groups which has helped make my job as a Member of Parliament so much easier.

In all the time we have worked together I have never known him to be anything other than good natured, good humoured and above all thoroughly professional”
