College students present cult musical

Performing Arts students from Shrewsbury College of Arts & Technology will present the iconic and award-winning musical Cabaret later this week.

Performances will be staged from 7.30pm on 24, 25 and 26 April at the College’s Performing Arts Theatre on London Road.

“Everyone will leave thoroughly entertained,” said Level 3 Performing Arts student Morgan Buswell, 17. “We’ve all worked really hard.”

Musical Theatre Lecturer at the College, Michael Jenkins, added: “There will be great singing and great dancing. It promises to be a high energy show with a bit of a bite to it.”

The classic Broadway musical, set in the smoky, seedy Kit Kat Klub, reflects the sentiment in pre-World War II, 1929 Berlin.

Tickets are £5 – £8 and are available via the College Box Office on 01743 342699 or [email protected].
