Lord Adonis visits Shrewsbury to discuss the People's Vote

Open Britain Shrewsbury is welcoming Andrew Adonis to town this Friday, 14th September.

Addressing a public meeting at University Centre Shrewsbury, Lord Adonis (Labour peer and former cabinet minister) will discuss the need for a People's Vote ahead of the final Brexit negotiations. Whichever way you voted, this should be an interesting event. Given the complexities and consequences that have become apparent over the past two years, he argues that the government's Brexit proposals must be put to the country to decide on what kind of relationship we want to have with the EU moving forward.

Andrew Bannerman, chairman of Open Britain Shrewsbury, says 'We are thrilled that Lord Adonis is taking time out of his busy schedule to travel to Shrewsbury to debate Brexit with the people of Shropshire. It has become clearer in recent weeks that how complex and challenging the Brexit proposals are, and we all look forward to hearing from someone with experience at the heart of government and involved in the current parliamnetary developments... whether our instinct is to leave to take a different direction, or stay in the EU and renew our role as a leading player'.

Due to high demand, this is a ticket only event and entry is only possible with a ticket. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/brexit-lord-adonis-on-why-we-need-a-peoples-vote-tickets-49524096907?utm-medium=discovery&utm-campaign=social&utm-content=attendeeshare&aff=estw&utm-source=tw&utm-term=listing
