White Stuff to attend street festival

Bosses of arts charity the Hive in Shrewsbury have announced today the presence of national clothing retailer White Stuff at the organisation's forthcoming May bank-holiday street festival. The retailer will be selling a variety of clothes and accessories on Belmont and White Stuff staff are looking forward to being part of the day's proceedings for their first time!

On May 6 between 2pm and 6pm, the Hive will be hosting their third annual street festival. There will be live performances from local musicians, creative workshops for young people and families, street performers, a Henna artist, lots of creative activities, many stalls, Taiko drumming, arts and crafts, a DJ and even a bag-piper.

White Stuff staff will have a stall selling clothes and accessories, with proceeds to be donated to the Hive in order to help the Shropshire arts charity deliver its work with young people across the county. The presence of the national retailer at this year's street festival also acts as a way of further developing the store's partnership with the Hive; as the Hive is the Shrewsbury store's charity partner

Habib Malik-Mansell of the Hive said "We aim to provide a fun day for the local community and with our already established relationship with the White Stuff Shrewsbury store, it's great to be able to incorporate them within the Hive's annual event this year. I really encourage people to come on down to Belmont next Monday, not only to see what goods White Stuff have to offer, but also to see everything which is taking place!"

From 2pm next Monday Belmont, SY1 1TE will come alive with activity as the Hive's street festival runs until 6pm. Visit http://hiveonline.org.uk/hive-street-party/
