Hive launches online booking facility

Bosses at a Shropshire arts venue have today taken the wraps off a new online booking system for event tickets; and within several hours of launching, several members of the public have already made the most of the opportunity to book tickets without the need to visit the venue in person or telephone either.

The bespoke system has been designed solely for the Hive by a local software developer and enables customers to now book tickets for the majority of events at the centre, with just a few minutes effort and in a simple and efficient manner.

One customer, the first to use the system, has already commented that 'it was very easy to use and we can't wait for our visit later this month'. The online booking facility is accessed via the Hive's website and has been created with ease of use as the primary objective.

Habib Malik-Mansell of the Hive said "I'm pleased to finally unveil our online booking facility to our customers and even more so, with it being positively received by those who have already taken the chance to use it. The launch of this system means that we now have the ability to offer our customers 24/7 booking, 365 days a year - and it's therefore a great development for us at the Hive".

He added "The Hive's online booking system has been developed by local Shropshire company MDCSN Ltd of Telford - run by Mark Darbyshire. We always aim to keep our business as local as possible and support independent and emerging companies where we can. Even though we are a youth arts charity ourselves, we recognise the importance of working with the local business sector as much as we possibly can."

People are encouraged to consider booking online for events, saving a trip to town or a phonecall, by visiting the Hive's website at http://www.hiveonline.org.uk/bookonline/
