University Centre Shrewsbury 2019 undergraduate prospectus showcases institution and town

University Centre Shrewsbury’s undergraduate prospectus for 2019 has been published, showcasing what the town and institution has to offer.

The booklet provides details of courses, support, sites, accommodation, the town and wider area, research, and how to apply. It also includes information on the ways University Centre Shrewsbury (UCS) courses and wider opportunities are designed to help ensure that graduates are fully equipped for the workplace.

More than 20 undergraduate and postgraduate courses are being offered at UCS in 2019 including: Applied Psychology; Biotechnology; Business Management; English; Genetics and Evolution; History; Sport Management and Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status.

The 2019 prospectus is being distributed as applications for this year are being received. The undergraduate students arriving in 2019 will be UCS’s fifth intake. Undergraduate students were welcomed to the University Centre from autumn 2015, and postgraduate courses started in autumn 2014.

Professor Anna Sutton, University Centre Shrewsbury Provost said: “Our 2019 prospectus is available now to find out more about the personalised, engaging student experience we provide, in this welcoming, fascinating town.

“Shrewsbury offers an ideal setting for students to reach their full potential and the prospectus tells people more about the many features students can enjoy while studying with us. Here, they can excel academically, while gaining practical employment skills, and putting their learning to use, to make a difference in the community and beyond.

“The prospectus is one of the ways we are sharing information on studying at University Centre Shrewsbury, which also include taking part in Higher Education events around the country, our website and social media. People are also urged to join us at upcoming open events to find out more.”

Copies of the prospectus, as well as the 2018 booklet, are available at Guildhall, UCS’s learning and research base at Frankwell Quay (SY3 8HQ). The reception is open from 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and from 8.30am to 1.30pm on Fridays.
