Polar Bear feeling the warmth ...

Polar Bear looking for a home for Christmas ….

He may be only four feet tall, but Dimples the Polar Bear has made a big impression with the ladies at a Shrewsbury firm.

Nick Jones Wealth Planning based on Shrewsbury Business Park is supporting the Shrewsbury Winter Festival being staged in The Quarry next  weekend (9th/10th DEC) and Dimples will be the star prize in their charity fundraising raffle.

Sally Johnson, head of the Harry Johnson Trust, a charity that works with Telford Hospital Children’s Oncology Unit to provide support to patients and their families, and is the charity of choice for Nick Jones Wealth Planning, donated the giant cuddly bear.

The Winter Festival on Saturday and Sunday will see a huge marquee hosting over 170 artisan producers, crafts people, florists, clothing boutiques and homeware stalls, together with activities for children and carol singing.

Nick Jones Wealth Planning will be hosting a Winter Wonderland featuring a giant snow globe and practice manager Chimene Felton, said: “The globe will will be very atmospheric and will give people the opportunity to take ‘selfies’ as the flakes fall over them, or we are happy to take pictures for them, all we ask is a small donation towards the Harry Johnson Trust.

“We are hoping to sell lots of raffle tickets for a host of prizes including a £200 Shropshire Hamper and of course delightful Dimples himself, who we would love to see go to a really good new home for Christmas!”
