Galliers' ambitious plans for growth

Shropshire house builder Galliers Homes has unveiled ambitious growth plans.

The company, based on Shrewsbury Business Park, is about to start work on a range of new developments in the county.

With its latest show home about to open at the Saxon Grove site in Sundorne, Shrewsbury, where 18 properties are being built, the firm is now looking to launch a further five housing schemes this year.

“We are optimistic about the property market in the county and are looking forward to expanding steadily in 2018,” said Andy Gough, regional director of Galliers Homes.

“Last year was a very successful one for the company, with moving to a new head office, taking on more staff, completing some very popular developments and acquiring land in a variety of locations.

“Despite some indications of a slow down in the national market, we have found that providing a top quality product and excellent customer service in a good location is a winning formula and one we will continue with in the future,” Andy added.

Galliers forthcoming new developments within Shropshire County Council boundaries include Abbots Lea at Hadnall, where 28 properties, four of which will be affordable, will be provided; Bomere Green at Bomere Heath where a total of 29 houses and bungalows, including five affordable units, will be built; Woodfields in Hinstock, providing 40 homes and seven affordable properties and Queens Walk in Baschurch, featuring 29 properties and five affordable houses.

The company will pay just over £1.5 million to the council in Community Infrastructure Levy charges, which will be used to help fund facilities and services such as schools or transport improvements.

A further development is being constructed at Church Aston, near Newport, within the Telford and Wrekin Council area. Here Galliers will be building 11 private properties and six affordable homes.
